I am a passionate educator. I am a firm believer in embracing mistakes, seizing challenges, and always striving for more. I am fueled by the “aha” moments in the classroom. I am passionate about making math approachable, accessible, and appealing for kids (and for teachers!)

I have spent over a decade teaching in the classroom in-person, virtually, hybrid, whole-group, small-group, one-on-one, and everything in between. I have served in multiple different leadership roles and I have been a mentor to many new teachers. I won Teacher of the Year for my district after teaching and leading others during the pandemic. I have spent years teaching all core-subjects, but I would consider myself an expert in the world of upper elementary math, and an enthusiastic novice in all things STEM.

My students know that I believe that they will achieve great things. They expect me to be the crazy lady who squeals with excitement when it is time to learn about fractions. They might not be excited about it themselves, but my hope is that they will never associate fear or dread when it comes to learning math.
